Dr. P. Rajesh, Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics has 9 years of teaching experience and 13 years of research experience. He received his B.Sc through St. Xavier’s College, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli District in 2003. He got his M.Sc through Department of Physics, Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli in 2005. He finished his M.Phil., in the same university in 2006 and Ph.D from Anna University, Chennai in 2011.

He worked in a DST funded project as a Junior Research Fellow for 3 years and later he got Council of scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)-Senior Research Fellowship.  He has published more than 60 papers in Refereed International Journals and presented more than 100 papers in the various National/International conferences. As an appreciation of his commendable work, he has received travel awards from DST, CSIR, SSN to attend the “16th, 17th and 18th International Conference on Crystal Growth held in Beijing, China in August 2010,  Warsaw, Poland in August 2013 and Nagoya, Japan in 2016 respectively. Presently, he is a recognized supervisor of Anna University, Chennai. 3  scholars have completed their Ph.D and 5 scholars are presently working  under his guidance. He is a life member of Indian Association for Crystal Growth.
