Ms. M. Shyamala Bharathy has been teaching English language for more than 14 years at the undergraduate level for arts and science students as well as engineering students. And she has more than 5 years of research experience in ELT.
Her research topic for M.Phil degree at Madurai Kamaraj University, was Contextual Relevance, Structural Finesse and Technical Excellence of Walt Whitman’s Poetry. She received her postgraduate and undergraduate degrees from Lady Doak College affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University. She completed B. Ed at Annamalai University with a focus on Methodology of Teaching Skills. She is a recognized teacher for Business English Certificate course. At present, she is pursuing her research on ELT at Anna University, Chennai. Her current research topic is on Testing spoken English with regard to Communications skills language laboratory which is going to be an output from the overall survey analysis of the data collected from Engineering students in and around Tamilnadu.
She has presented and attended both the national and international conferences and the thrust area was with Self Access Language Learning with a deeper insight on testing and counseling in language learning centers which is highly demanded in recent years for acquiring language learning skills.
