Dr. Mallika Jainu M.Sc., Ph.D., PGDCA., MISTE., DIB.,
Dr. Mallika Jainu, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering has 15 years of research experience, 10 years of teaching experience in the field of Biochemistry, Pathology and Molecular Biology and industrial experience for 3 years.
She received her M.Sc and Ph.D degree from University of Madras in the area of Clinical Biochemistry. She also completed her Post graduate diploma in Industrial Biotechnology & Clinical Research professional Course from International Clinical Research Centre, Canada. She is a research board advisor in American Biographical Society, North Carolina, USA and also a receipent of HIV prevention network certificate from John Hopkins School of Medicine, Baltimore, USA. She has 83 published papers in international journals and international conference proceedings. She is a recognized research supervisor of Anna University for Ph.D and M.S. (by research).
During her Ph.D, she received best research work award from Cambridge University, England. and also received the award “Leading scientist of the world 2007” from USA, All India level Sushrutha Innovation Award from National Biomedical Engineering Society in 2011, received seven times Best teacher award from SSN College of Engineering. She is a life member of IISC, Society of Biological chemist, ISTE and International Biopharmaceutical Association. Presently under her guidance 5 of them registered for Ph.D of which 2 of them completed Ph.D and 3 of them currently working in the area neuro drug toxicity and gastroenterology field.
Her current research work includes bioactivity of drugs on various pathological diseases, biochemical mechanism of action in preclinical study and molecular biology level drug interaction.
